Dave Kitson made it lucky 13 as Championship leaders Reading continued their relentless march to the Premiership by disposing of an out of sorts Wolves at Molineux.
Kitson's 28th minute goal was his 13th of the season and helped to fire Reading to their ninth successive league win.
American international midfielder Bobby Convey set the seal on their victory with an impressive 64th minute strike.
Reading were a class above Wolves for long spells as they extended their unbeaten run to 24 league games.
Wolves, who had been unbeaten in their previous eight matches, never got into gear in front of the biggest crowd of the season at Molineux and were booed off the pitch by their disgruntled fans as they suffered a damaging blow to their own promotion hopes.
Kitson was inches away from giving Reading the lead after just two minutes only to be twice frustrated by the crossbar.
Glen Little lifted the ball back into the area after a corner from Convey was only half cleared.
Kitson twice beat goalkeeper Stefan Postma with close-range headers only to see both efforts bounce off the bar. Brynjar Gunnarsson then headed the second rebound over the bar.
But it was a sign of what was to come from an impressive Reading who were dominant all over the pitch.
Apart from hopeful long-range efforts from Seol and Lee Naylor, Wolves struggled to make any kind of impact before half-time and it was no surprise when Reading's pressure paid off.
Once again it was Little and Kitson who combined to create panic in the Wolves area.
Little's right-wing cross left the Wolves defence flat footed and a grateful Kitson was perfectly placed to power his close-range header past Postma.
Wolves slim hopes of launching a comeback effectively disappeared when Seol headed a Darren Anderton cross against the bar in the 63rd minute.
It was an escape that Reading took full advantage of as they clinched victory just 60 seconds later.
Convey showed a clean pair of heels to right-back Rob Edwards and powered into the area before drilling a low drive past Postma to end Reading's run of five successive defeats at the hands of Wolves.
