Reading centre-back Adie Williams will take a temporary break from guiding his side back up towards the Play-Offs in order to hopefully help lead Wales into Euro 2004.

Therefore, the Royals will be without Adie and also Omar Daley, who has been called up to the Jamaica squad, when they entertain Millwall at the Madejski Stadium on the 15th November.

However, there will be no call off because a minimum of three players have to be called up before that happens and there is no England under 21 match so no further Reading player will receive an international call-up.

The 32-year-old defender will travel to Russia on Saturday 15th Novemver, before returning to the Madejski Stadium for Wednesday 19th when the return game will be played.

The winner of the tie overall will take up the much coveted spot in Euro 2004.

Mark Hughes has injury doubts over Simon Davies, Mark Pembridge and Robert Page and Robbie Savage. Meanwhile, Craig Bellamy and Cardiff's Rhys Weston have been left out of the squad altogether because of injury.

Wales have faltered in recent matches losing to Serbia & Montenegro (twice), drawing with Finland, being thrashed by Italy and falling at the hands of the USA in their last five games.

If the Welsh are going to have any chance of qualifying they will have to recreate the kind of form that saw them amazingly defeat Italy by two goals to one almost two years ago.

However, Mark Hughes is bullish heading into the two crunch games. he commented: "These two games are possibly the most important in the history of Welsh Football, as success will help to take the game in Wales to a higher level.

"The match in Moscow will be a great test both because of the quality of opposition and the weather conditions."
