The ex-England under 20 international is set to sign for Wycombe for an undisclosed fee. He has spent the past two months on loan at the Causeway Stadium where he has played a starring role for Tony Adams' side.
However, the deal has not been completed in time for Tys to play for Wycombe against Bournemouth tomorrow so the two clubs have extended the pre-existing loan deal which had expired by four days so that they can leave finalising the transfer until early next week.
It had been hoped that Tyson would sign for the Chairboys today, but negotiations have been held up over alleged payments that Reading Football Club owe to the soon-to-be Wycombe player.
Wanderers boss Tony Adams revealed that the deal is nearly done and that he believes Tys can be a top player for his club.
"We need good players and he is a good player. I think he can score goals in this division and in the division below, if that's where we end up. He will be a good acquisition for us and hopefully we will be able to announce it soon," explained Adams, speaking to the Bucks Free Press.
"The personal terms are done. Nathan wants to come and play for Wycombe, he loves it here."
The clubs are thought to be keeping the fee secret as the payment is said to include fees that the Royals have paid to Wycombe for several academy players who have made the switch to the Madejski.
Tyson has made a total of thirty nine appearances for Reading, including eleven starts. Prior to making the loan switch to Wycombe the youngster also enjoyed loan spells at Cheltenham and Swansea.
