Tyson was a surpriser starter against Millwall at the Madejski Stadium last weekend, playing on the left flank in place of veteran former Egland international John Salako.
Without a Royals first team start to his name prior to the kick-off Tyson looked nervous, playing well below what he is ultimately capable of.
Following last week's poor performance the 20-year-old admitted that he doesn't expect to start against Gillingham on Saturday.
John Salako is expected to take his place in the side, giving him a chance to try to prove that experience is best.
"I think the manager will make a change so I don't think I'm starting, " admitted Tyson speaking to readingfc.co.uk.
"I think I let nerves get the better of me last week and when I get a chance again I'll have to take it, I've got the first one out of the way and it's time to move on.
"I always look forward to playing for the first team. I can't wait for tomorrow, we'll see what happens and what the team is."
