Reading midfielder Jay Tabb has promised to get back on the scoresheet after his starring role at Burnley last weekend. Tabb - who has been used at full-back and in defensive midfield for most of his Royals career - returned from two months out with a foot injury at Turf Moor on Saturday and impressed in a new role playing behind striker Shane Long. He said: "When the lads found out I was playing behind the striker they gave me a bit of banter at first, telling me not to boot and head the ball away every time it came to me! "But I've played in that role before for Brentford and Ireland Under-21s. "The manager has seen me play there and he keeps telling me I've got 30 or 40 goals in my career already so he wants me to keep scoring."
