After talks in England late last year and in Turkey this week, the Royals have finalised a link-up which will see them share knowledge and scouting information with the Champions League club, currently home to Holland midfielder Wesley Sneijder and former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
Reading director Chris Samuelson said: "Galatasaray are a huge club, not just in Turkey but across the world. We have our own links to Turkey already with Jem Karacan doing so well for us from our Academy."
He added: "There are many aspects to this - the exchange of information at youth and first-team levels, the possibility of friendly games, the list goes on. We are in the early stages right now but these are exciting times for both clubs."
