Reading manager Brian McDermott admitted his side played poorly during their 4-2 win at Southampton on Saturday. A brace from Simon Church helped the Royals fight back from 2-1 down to the League One side to win on the south coast but McDermott was far from pleased with their display. He said: "I didn`t think we were very good for an hour. We made changes that made a difference, we were better from then on and we got a result which I was happy with. "At half-time I said to them we`re not playing well but we need to get a result. "You are judged on results and we got a good result - which isn`t easy at Southampton."
