Depending on the outcome of England's games they could find themselves in a final or third place play off.
Reading Under 17 coach, Nas Bashir, told readingfc.co.uk:" I am delighted for Darren, he thoroughly deserves the call up on the back of his performances for us last season.
"He has done excellent for Reading Football Club and is a very exciting prospect. Hopefully he will be pushing for the under 19 team and the reserve squad this season.
"This experience with his national team is a fantastic opportunity and will put him in good stead for his future football career and development as a player."
Then youngster has previously played in the England under 16 side.
