Director of football Nick Hammond told www.readingfc.co.uk: "He's a really talented young goalkeeper who has great size and presence for such a young man.
"He also has an excellent attitude and work ethic so he's got every chance of enjoying a successful career."
Andersen is 18 and has signed a two and a half year deal.
