After watching the replays several times Alan Pardew eventually adjudged that Nicky Forster should be awarded the goal. However, it appears from the official site that ole' Fozzy has been at the goal snatching game again.
Whilst there was seemingly no doubt that Goater scored the first goal and Scott Murray got two more to give Reading a 3-1 half-time lead, readingfc.co.uk seem to reckon Forster had scored.
Whatsmore, underneath there is a large picture of Fozzy.
The error is all the more remarkable given that the articles text mentions Forster not once, and accurately explains that Murray and Goater got the goals.
We can only come to the conclusion that Fozzy attempted to make some 'alterations' to the score card at half time....
