The Royals stopper had little do for much of Saturday`s goalless draw at home to Coventry - with most of the action taking place at the other end - yet the hosts were still unable to comes away with all three points.
"The first half was very positive for us," Federici told the club's official website. "We came out all guns blazing and the boys performed really well.
"In the second half, it changed a bit and Coventry had a couple of half-chances.
"We played really well against a very attacking line-up. And they had some big boys up top.
"We just needed that bit of quality from anywhere to get us a goal. But we're a positive side and we create a lot of chances."
