On Saturday a new era in the history of Reading Football Club begins. The team will kick off their first season in Division One for four years.
Experts and fans across the nation have no idea what to expect from the Royals - much of the squad have never played at this level before.
However, the man in the know, boss Alan Pardew believes that tenth is a realistic target for the season.
If the Royals are to finish above thirteenth it will represent second highest finish in their history - so there is certainly ambition in the camp.
Reading have never played a season in English football's top flight - it is no secret that the whole club hope to break that duck in the coming few years.
Pards said: "Of course you always try to set targets, but for us Division One is an unknown - so many of our players haven't played in it before.
"We won’t be overawed by the sides we have to play, that’s for sure. Millwall are the inspiration for us, with the success of their youngsters last season.
"Realistically, I think we can finish about 10th in the league.
"We’re all very positive about next year. If the team is struggling I will not hesitate to make changes. The management and the players all believe that we can do well.
"Reading Football Club may not be well known to the fans of other clubs, but we are seen as a decent side in the football world. Fans might ignore us but that’s fine – we will aim to keep them quiet when we play them."
