Reserve team coach Brian McDermott was very impressed with what he saw.
"In the first half they made it difficult for us but we managed to get an early goal. It was disappointing to concede right at the end. Also, we felt that we could score more than three," he said speaking to readingfc.co.uk.
"The senior players did well, as far as their attitude to reserve team games is concerned. All of them were spot on, they are important to the reserve set-up.
"It was also good to get the young players on the pitch. The academy is there to produce young players, some of them are coming on and getting close to the first team."
Reserve team player Andre Boucard put in a particuarly impressive performance, many people at the club feel that he has a bright future in the game.
Speaking on Boucard's performance McDermott aded: "Andre has a lot of talent and ability, but he has still got a lot of work to do. He has natural talent and a good chance of progressing."
