Chairman John Madejski insisted on having a clause inserted into today's agreement which saw Pardew jump ship which stated that no Reading players or staff will be allowed to link-up with Pards at West Ham this season.
Speculation linking Pardew with moves for several of Reading's top players had already been mounting yet Madejski, the hero of the piece in the Pards to West Ham panto, has blocked such a move from taking place.
Mr Madejski also confirmed that Pardew will remain on gardening leave until October 18th when he will be finally able to start his career as West Ham United manager.
In a statement to the press this evening, Madejski explained: "Alan Pardew remains on gardening leave until the 18th of October.
"In addition, we have been given an undertaking by both Alan and West Ham United that Reading Football Club employees will be leaving before to join West Ham before the end of the season."
Meanwhile, earlier reports had indicated that the Hammers had agreed to pay £380,000 plus legal costs for Pardew's contract to be torn up. However, as the Reading chairman confirmed, the £380,000 includes compensation for legal costs.
He added: "West Ham have given us a payment of £380,000, which includes our costs."
Reading Football Club are now expected to launch a nationwide search for a successor to Pardew, our second detested deserter. However, it is expected that the club will decide to give current stand-in boss Kevin Dillon the job full time.
