The talented striker has been linked with a number of clubs after his goalscoring exploits with England's Under 21s at this summer's European Championship.
However, Lita insists he is happy at the Madejski Stadium and has no plans to leave.
"I have heard nothing, I don't read the papers or nothing like that," Lita told Sky Sports News.
"It has nothing to do with me and the papers are just writing what they want to write.
"Reading is the place I want to be at and I am enjoying it.
"I am going to play football there and I am happy here."
When asked if he gets distracted by the speculation, Lita said: "Not at all as I said I don't read the papers so it doesn't matter to me.
"I let people say what they want to say and I get on with my football."
Lita admits Reading face a tougher season this term after impressing on their debut Premier League campaign
The former Bristol City hit-man says Reading will no longer be a surprise package to their rivals like they were last term.
"It is going to be a tough season for us because teams know about us now and people know about the players at Reading," added Lita.
"So it is going to be harder but we are all young lads and we all want to play in the Premiership for a long time.
"We have to step up again and be ready for the challenge this year."
Meanwhile, Reading have revealed three South Korean teenagers will join their academy for next season.
Nam Taehee, Ji Dongwon and Kim Wonsik have all agreed to make the move to the Madejski Stadium.
Reading's academy manager Eamonn Dolan told the club's official website: "The three young boys will be with us initially for one season.
"I hope that during that period they will add to our academy and we will add to their education, both in terms of football and general life skills."
