Khizanishvili told BBC Berkshire: "Every player knows what the target is - to play in the Premier League.
"We never have meetings where we say what our targets are. The manager never does that and he's right not to."
Reading, who have won their last eight league games, travel to Leeds on Friday.
United lie sixth in the second tier, seven points behind the Royals.
"It's going to be a really tough game," said Khizanishvili, who is on loan from Blackburn.
"They're in the top six and are fighting to stay there. They're at home and have some top players and we respect them."
