Reading midfielder Jem Karacan has set his sights on winning a call up to the Turkey squad to cap his fine season so far. Karacan has nailed down a starting role in Brian McDermott's side and after ending his 18-month wait for a goal at Preston on Saturday is now gunning for a place in Guus Hiddink's national squad. He said: "I was hoping to get a full Turkey call up but they've got a tough game away to Germany so I'm sure Mr Hiddink will be going for a bit more experience. "But hopefully the friendly after that I'll be pushing. "I'll be playing my heart out every week to try and get a call up for that."
