For the ex-Reading boss is a linguistic legend. We used to love picking-apart his post match comments to giggle at his latest clichés and over-used lexis. However, finally the hurt we feel is just beginning to go as in physio Jon Fearn we seem to have a replacement for Pardew - so pass our Jon the mic!
It is clear that Fearn had a good day yesterday. Some would think that he would be slightly upset to hear that striker Nicky Forster is to be sidelined for a further six weeks as it could possibly cost the Royals a Play-Off spot. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
Perhaps Fearn is pleased that he will not be left on his own in the fitness room whilst the squad goes out to train? Who knows.
But commenting on his visit with Forster to see a specialist doctor in Manchester yesterday Fearn told the official site: "We had a very good meeting with a very good physician and Fozzy's going to have surgery on Saturday in Manchester.
"This will keep him out for four to six weeks and the good news is that he will be back this season."
That all sounds good....
When you realise that Mr Fearn used a 'very happy' and a couple of 'tops' in addition to his good blitz it becomes abundantly clear just how pleased he was feeling.
