Reading captain Ivar Ingimarsson is hoping to be back to full fitness in time for next month's npower Championship opener at home to Scunthorpe. The 32-year-old is back with the rest of his team-mates or pre-season training as he continues his recovery from a hamstring operation and he is eager to get back on the pitch as soon as possible. "I saw the specialist this week and everything is on track so I'm hoping to be ready," he told the Reading Chronicle. "I'm running and kicking balls but won't be taking part in full-contact training for another couple of weeks. "That will put me a little bit behind the rest of the squad but I have plenty of time to get myself back in good shape before the first game."
