The Royals are preparing to play four games in eight days at a time of year when most of the country is enjoying a holiday, but Griffin insists they are the lucky ones.
He said: "I'm living the dream as a footballer, as is every other player out there. It's all you ever wanted to do as a child.
"People who are not in the football world always say to me 'you don't get much time off at Christmas' and it's the busiest time of the football calendar.
"But I am looking forward to it. It will be tough both physically and mentally but we are all in the same boat and want to keep our run going."
