Reading midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson has conceded that he will struggle to win his place back in the side when he returns from injury. Gunnarsson is out after he pulled a thigh muscle in training and has seen left-back Chris Armstrong return from 13 months out with a knee injury to take his place in the centre of midfield. The Icelander said: "It will be difficult for me to get back in. "There are a lot of good players in that position, but it is a long season and we will get injuries and suspensions. We need everyone ready. "Chris has been very good - not only because he has been playing in a different position to usual, but also because he was out for such a long time. "He has slotted into midfield without any problems. It's great for us and improves the squad. It's like signing a new player."
