"It's not that Kevin is struggling to get back in the side, it's purely down to his injury.
"He's been at around 85% to 95% for the past four weeks but there's still some scar tissue in his hamstring.
"He can't get that extra 10% and anyone will tell you that extra 10% is vital in the Premiership. You can't compete without that.
"He made terrific progress very quickly but now he's standing still. Maybe that had something to do his desire to get straight back in the team. But you can't hurry nature and we need time to reassess the situation."
