The highly-rated 19-year-old played 67 minutes of Iceland's 2-1 World Cup qualifying defeat to Scotland in midweek but will go straight back into manager Chris Coleman's starting XI.

Centre-back James McPake will be absent due to a groin problem and left-back Daniel Fox (knee) remains sidelined.

Striker Leon McKenzie is also a major doubt due to an Achilles injury as the Sky Blues look to build on last week's 1-0 victory over Doncaster.

Coleman remains wary of the threat posed by opposition Reading despite the visitors recording just one win in their last five Championship games.

"They are up there and they will be asking a lot of questions of us because they are still an extremely good side," he said.

Reading manager Steve Coppell will hand a late fitness test to midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson ahead of the trip.

Gunnarsson missed Iceland's game against Scotland on Wednesday night with a hamstring strain but the Royals are hopeful that he will be available to feature.

Winger Jimmy Kebe came off early on during the goalless draw with Crystal Palace a fortnight ago but has recovered from a knock and is in contention.

Midfielder Kalifa Cisse missed Mali's World Cup qualifier against Sudan at the weekend with illness but is expected to be fit while Glen Little should also return from a foot injury.

However, Coppell will be without right-back Liam Rosenior as he begins a two-match suspension following his dismissal at Selhurst Park.

Rosenior is also nursing a broken hand and with club captain Graeme Murty still out with the calf problem which has wrecked his campaign youngster Julian Kelly will start. Ivar Ingimarsson will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
