"There has been no approach," Coppell told Sky Sports News.
"Just because we are producing good players does not mean they have to move on.
"We had one player, Steve Sidwell, who left because he was at the end of his contract.
"We don't have that situation with any of our present squad."
The player himself is very non committal
He explained: "I've always been happy at the club but in football you can't say anything is for certain so I don't like to comment on things until they are done and dusted.
"Obviously we want to sit down and try and get something resolved and hopefully we'll have more talks now I'm back from honeymoon.
"That will get sorted out in its own time. I don't think you put time limits on these things.
"There's a lot of speculation about a lot of players during the summer period and that's all it is.
"It is a little bit flattering but just seeing things in the papers doesn't mean a thing."
