"He got a bang on his head and he told me at half time that he suffers from migraines anyway.
"He was very aware of a blind spot to his left, and for him to come out and play on in the second half was brilliant.
"You want a player to be brave, but you also want him to be honest about whether he can continue.
"He is a very sensible young man so I know if it was going to be harmful for the team then he'd have said he was ready to come off.
"He's committed and wholehearted, but as he showed tonight he can also play.
"He made some terrific headers at full stretch to divert things."
