Those of you who are new to Beat The Manager will want to know how excatly the game is played. So here is a brief explanation...

Prior to all our fixtures, fans can predict the final score by logging into the Beat The Manager console.

Get the score spot on and you will be awarded with a win and sixteen points. Correctly predict the result (eg Reading win) and you will receive five points. But get it wrong and you will earn yourself no points!

Two points are also on offer if you can correctly foretell the number of goals either of the two sides will score.

Points are then recorded in both a Reading 'League Table' and one for the whole of the FootyMAD network.
