Another home game without a win

Reading have managed just three home League wins in 2009. Two of them came last January and then one a few weeks ago. What a dreadful year.

The final league game of the year at The Madejski saw Reading draw with Swansea. The Welshmen were a goal up after Darren Pratley raced through to beat Federici 9 mins from the break.

Reading levelled through Gylfi Sugurdsson. His free kick too good for the Swansea keeper.

That goal came in first half stopage time and it signalled the end of the scoring for this game.

Swansea had a late effort ruled out as the ball crossed the line clearly after the whistle was blown and it will be the visitors that overall will have feld they deserved to win the game.

Reading now head to Plymouth hoping to see out the year with a win.
