A history of Reading v Derby clashes

Reading have beaten Derby three times out of four in the last two seasons - but historically do not have a particularly strong record away to the Rams.

In nine matches they have won twice, drawn twice and lost five times.

However, Reading's home record against the Pride Park based team is much better, winning eight times, drawing once, and never losing.

Whilst the records suggest Reading will record an easy three points when George Burley's side travel to the Madejski Stadium later this season, based on the history books, all is very much to play for this weekend.

Steve Coppell's team will be hoping to put in a top performance at Pride Park to match that of last season. Shaun Goater and Scott Murray (remember them?) played some excellent football to help the Royals to a 3-2 win.
